*COMMENTS TO FOLLOW SOON! THESE ARE THE MOVIES I'M CURRENTLY WATCHING*
* I WON'T TELL THE TITLES YET ~_^ *

MY GIRLFRIEND IS A GUMIHO (2010) --- 5 Star Rating

After Lee Seung Gi's success in Brilliant Legacy, he makes another beautifully portrayed K-movie. And what can I say? My fascination for Lee Seung Gi makes it worthwhile! This time he pairs up with a Gumiho (Shin Min Ah). I really loved all the episodes and I was totally hooked to the story! Now, every time I see rain on a bright day...it makes me believe of Fox Rain, gee! The combined comedy and drama makes this movie worth watching over and over all through out generations. Teehee! ~Hoi hoi~

Synopsis:

Cha Dae Woong accidentally releases a gumiho, a legendary fox with nine tails that eats the livers of humans. When he finds out that she is a gumiho, he ends up doing crazy things to prevent the girl from eating his liver.

BRILLIANT LEGACY / SHINING INHERITANCE (2009) --- 5 Star Rating

Gosh! If you're a fan of Lee Seung Gi (like yours truly), then you shouldn't miss this movie!!! He's really good in this movie! Eottoke, oppa!

For an intro, here's the synopsis:
Go Eun Sung’s life is similar to Cinderella’s. After her father died, her step-mother, Baek Sung Hee, took away all of her assets and her younger brother, Eun Woo, suddenly disappears without a trace. Despite this, Eun Sung preservers and works really hard to fulfill her dreams. When the CEO of a food company, Jang Sook Ja, suffers amnesia and can’t remember who she is Eun Sung takes her in. However, Eun Sung does not know that she is the grandmother of Sun Woo Hwan, the man who she switched bags with at the airport. How will their constant bickering lead them to realize that they care more about each other than they let on?

MY MAN'S WOMAN (2007) --- 5 Star Rating

Even though some scenes in here are very infuriating, I still managed to watch this movie and got hooked until the final episode. I was really mad at Kim Hee-Ae in this movie, but she's really professional with her role together with Kim Sang-Joong. My pity and worries are all to Bae Jung-Ok here, she's so kawawa aaahhh! Not only it gives me a clear head about men (husbands, anyone???), the lessons I learned in this movie is really breath-taking. The drama and the thrilling scenes make this movie worthwhile until the end, just be cautious to some scenes that are really maddening

WARNING: some episodes might also make you want to throw your popcorn in front of the TV screen  ^_^

Hmm.....when it comes to Yoon Eun-Hye, no matter what movie, or story, or role she does...I'm her ultimate fan (next to Kim Yoo-Jin)! Teehee that's all. Ciao!

PROSECUTOR PRINCESS (2010) --- 5 Star Rating

Another of SBS's finest, yippee! I was definitely hooked on this movie the 1st time I laid my eyes on it! Yes, after lots of years patiently waiting for another feel-good movie besides WIND STRUCK and MY SASSY GIRL, this movie deserves a big round of applause. Sweet as cupcake, Ma Hye-Ri (Kim So-Yeon), is definitely good in portraying her role --- from the stylish rich brat to the smart humble woman who finally achieves her dream of being a prosecutor and the love she deserved from the people around her. The tomato scene in this movie added a lot of spice to the plot (the part where Ma Hye-Ri was being thrown over with a pail of over-ripe tomatoes by a furious ex-suspect-turned-victim). I also love the scenes where she gets to share her moments with Park Si Hoo, eating only ramen and just being funny at each other.

Besides the story, I also love their soundtracks! Totally love SHINee's inspirational Aja Fighting song "FLY HIGH". Even my dvd-suki says her copies of Prosecutor Princess are selling like hotcakes! Ppaleun ppaleun ppaleun! ^_^

LOVELY COMPLEX / LIVE ACTION (2007) and LOVELY COMPLEX ANIME (2007) --- 3 Star Rating

LOVELY COMPLEX / LIVE ACTION (2007) --- 3 Star Rating

This one's the live-action feature film adaptation of the best-selling manga "Lovely Complex", wow! The story portrays the same -- Lisa Koizumi could be a bit shorter, her boyfriend could be a bit taller, and the two of them go through ups and downs during their time at Maido Gakuen! Though their eccentricities, particularities, and tastes in food and music match, the two couple finds trouble when the boyfriend Otani meets up with his ex-girlfriend setting Lisa's heart on fire! Gee! ^_^

LOVELY COMPLEX ANIME (2006) --- 3 Star Rating

Risa Koizumi, taller than the average girl, and Atsushi Ootani, shorter than the average guy - their constant bickering and comical love-hate relationship is well-known throughout the school. They act similarly and love the same music, and their friendship is full of laughing, shouting at each other, and of course, lots of jokes about one another's height. But when Risa notices her feelings for Ootani growing, she's worried. She doesn't know if he can ever see her as more than a friend. With her friends rooting for her, she struggles to make him see how she feels about him, and that a romantic relationship between a tall girl and a short guy can work. Oblivious Ootani doesn't make things easy for her, but she stubbornly perseveres in her own unconventional way, determined for her feelings to get through to him, and finally be returned. If only she could do it without driving herself and everyone else crazy in the process...

YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL (2009) --- 5 Star Rating

After seeing Hana Kimi, I decided to watch another of Korea's gender-bender movie --- and it's truly a worthy film afterall (and a worthy buy also!). From SBS, the movie's story portrays of A.N.Jell's On Yu (Lee Hong Ki...*screams* aaahh!!) and Tae Kyung (Jang Geung Suk....*screams more* aahhh!!!) on a search of a new member. However, Mi Nam suffers injury at the last moment of their search. So he asks a favor to his twin sister Mi Nyu to step in and replace him instead without the rest of the group knowing that Mi Nyu is a girl. The rest of the K-drama follows the behind-the-scenes life of an idol group. Totally nice funny movie! ^_^

IT STARTED WITH A KISS (2006), THEY KISSED AGAIN (2008) --- 4 Star Rating

IT STARTED WITH A KISS (2006) *1st installment --- 4 Star Rating

THEY KISSED AGAIN (2008) *2nd installment --- 4 Star Rating

Based on the original comic "Itazurana Kiss" created by Kaoru Yade, this love / comedy story will surely brighten your every day, and will definitely inspire you and your loved one. The fun and fight scenes of Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng adds a lot of twists, turns, and laughs to the whole episode. Have fun watching this movie (couples who can relate, anyone???). Ciao! ^_^

HANA KIMI / TAIWAN VERSION (2006) --- 3 Star Rating

Another of Wu Chun's finest! This is the 1st gender-bender movie I've seen. It's a story of Lu Rui Xi who became over-fascinated with high jump champion Zuo Yi Quan , whom she also sees on TV. After graduating from middle school, she disguises herself as a boy so she can attend Yi Quan's all boys High School. A lot of funny and thrilling moments happen along the way. This beautifully inspired movie production makes a very sweet love story that any hopeless romantic is sure to love! Gee! ^_^

GREEN ROSE. WHAT HAPPENED IN BALI, ONLY YOU, MY GIRL (2005) --- 3 Star Rating

GREEN ROSE (2005) --- 3 Star Rating

WHAT HAPPENED IN BALI (2004) --- 3 Star Rating

ONLY YOU (2005) --- 3 Star Rating

MY GIRL (2005) --- 3 Star Rating

Hmm....what can I say.....well, despite the fact that the moment these movies are released (and all are from SBS, gee!), I immediately bought copies from my dvd suki. Only to be quite disappointed, why? Except for What Happened In Bali (shocking story twist), all three are the usual love stories. I'm full of all of these drama and comedy plots, isn't there anything new? Please.....I'll be waiting here in my coffee table. Ciao for now! ^_^

LOVERS IN PARIS (2004) --- 5 Star Rating

"AJA!" became a very popular expression after being used in this drama. Hmm, what can I say? Well, the story of Lovers in Paris is quite the same as Romantic Princess - a typical romantic comedy with a Cinderella-like fairy tale. But what gave this K-drama movie an edge above others is the outstanding effort that SBS did with the casts and the amazing wrap-up of the whole episode. I don't want to make fuss of Park Shin Yang being Kim Jung-Eun's partner but he looks as old as Brilliant Legacy's Choi Jeong Woo. But don't get me wrong, I definitely love the story. Let's take a look, peace! ^_^

ROMANTIC PRINCESS (2007) --- 3 Star Rating

If you're a fan of Taiwanese hunk Wu Chun, then you'll definitely love this cinderella-like movie. It's a story of middle-classed Xiao Mei who dreamed of being an heiress, who never imagined that one day this dream would actually come true. There's a lot of ups and downs along her journey in life, but all in all she gets what she deserved including love. ^_^

WINDSTRUCK (2004) --- 5 Star Rating

This movie is totally beautiful and very moving. I've never seen such a love story like this nowadays (2011). The first installment to watch before "MY SASSY GIRL", "WINDSTRUCK" totally changed my whole outlook about love and life. This very classic movie taught me to value myself, my hubby, my kids, and all my loved ones. For one cannot tell when he/she departs in this world. I actually cried while watching this very tear-jerker movie. I also love their soundtrack, totally classic ^_^

MY SASSY GIRL (2001) --- 5 Star Rating

Very funny movie, indeed! The movie SASSY GIRL completes the story after WIND STRUCK, although the latter is released 2004. The whole appreciation shows in the last episode where the girl (Jeon Ji-Hyun) was finally able to meet her "Man From The Future" (Cha Tae-Hyun). But what I really loved in this movie is the scene where they exchanged shoes (I even tried it with my then-bf-now-turned-husband just for fun) and the scene where they buried Time Capsules is really heart-warming. The Americans tried their own version of this classic Korean Film, but it's sad to say that "Nothing Beats The Original". they even changed some scenes and locations, moreover, the whole story became different already. Praise for Kwak Jae-Yong for doing such a classic film that's treasured through generations.

Meteor Garden (2001) --- 5-Star Rating

I first had my dose of Hallyuwood appreciation because of this very moving tear-jerker Taiwanese movie. It's the summer of 2001 when I first set my eyes on this classic Jerry Yan movie. It's basically a love story like all the rest of Hallyuwood love fictions, but the whole thought of love-fight & success-challenge in the plot makes this movie a lot memorable & loved all throughout generations. The soundtracks even make it a lot more treasured. If you haven't watched this movie yet, then it's time that you watch it...
